PASTEL DE NATA & OTHER DELICACIES WORKSHOPS

Do you know where our pastries are originated from ? In the late medieval age, our nuns used big quantities of egg whites to iron and stiffen their clothes. What could they do with all this surplus egg-yolks ? With the new colonies, and new sources of sugar, it became soon clear ! That’s how our nuns started to develop endless dessert recipes.

When:  COMING SOON. Sundays and mondays between 14h30 to 16h30.

How:

  • 14h30: Coffees degustation. We also have tea if you don't like coffee
  • 15h00: Traditional Portuguese Monasteries bakery workshop

What:  You will learn to prepare the famous Belem custard tarts and another delicious Portuguese cake following the products of the season.

Where: Workshop facility in the heart of Alfama. Depending on the day and number of participants, the workshop will take place in the Santa Clara's Market or in Tasca Beat.

Price: 35€ per person. 60€ per couple. 20€ for kids until 15.

Language: we speak English, French, Spanish. And Portuguese obviously.

Requisite: Minimum 4 persons to open the workshop.
